| Stop bankruptcy, not casinos
When a child is caught stealing money
from his father's pocket, we reprimand him but we don't burn
down the house!
It's the same with casino gambling and online casino gambling . Gambling
houses many evils like prostitution, bankruptcy and increasing
suicide rates.
How do we solve the problem of high hopes and bankruptcy?
Let's educate the people on the facts of gambling. Tell them
that only a few people turn millionaires overnight. Tell them
about the various gambling horror stories. Tell them everything
and then let them decide for themselves. Banning casinos will
not lead to any benefits. People who still want to bet large
amounts of money will find other avenues. Tell these people
not to jump from buildings but don't demolish the buildings
so that people don't jump from them.
Certain US senators are trying hard to have online casinos
banned. Why don't they concentrate on more pressing problems
like prostitution and depression than waste their time on
banning casinos. They want to sound moralistic and earn brownie
points. And they think that it is simpler to ban casinos than
deal with the problems affecting casinos. They want the easy
way out. We need better leaders, don't we?
